First Responders Memorial
248 East St. John Street
Spartanburg, South Carolina 29306
May 31, 2012
Dear Visitor:
Approximately six months ago a committee was formed of local first responders--police, fire, EMS--from Spartanburg County to further an idea for a First Responders Memorial to recognize those individuals who gave their lives serving the citizens of Spartanburg County.
A location was identified inside beautiful Barnet Park and through many drawings, a design was formulated that would honor Law Enforcement personnel, Firefighters and Emergency Responders who have given the ultimate sacrifice to not only insure the safety of our citizens, but to respond to emergency situations.
Now, we would like to ask for your help in bringing this beautiful idea to fruition through your tax-deductible gift. This is an opportunity to be part of a living memorial where family, friends and all citizens can go to pay tribute to these selfless individuals who gave their all. These men and women were dedicated to the pursuit of the protection of life and property and the proud tradition of public service.
The greatest contribution you can make is the gift of commitment to this project. One hundred percent of all financial gifts will go directly towards the establishment of the memorial. Donations can be made to the Spartanburg County Foundation, 424, East Kennedy Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29302 and designated for the First Responders Memorial.
